Forest: April 27

I didn't draw anything the last couple of days due to school. I should be studying right now, but I thought I would post a picture instead.

Forest: April 18

If you're familiar with Tokidoki, then you'll know I drew a cactus pup and friend.

Saturday, April 17, 2010

One of the things I collect are vinyl toys. This is a drawing of the twins from the Pure Trance series.

Forest: April 16

I got lazy and drew a Ninjatown ninja with a very sharp stick thingie.

'Cause they never got you, and you never got them. Uh huh.

Forest: April 14

Drew this while waiting for the bus. The Glomph Monster strikes again.

Badly executed concept due to lack of time! I need to remember to do more of these soon.

I really like elephants.
I cheated today because I'm supposed to be doing my homework. So, have an abstract picture.

Forest: April 11

Totally forgot to scan this in last night. It's my character for a fantasy game I'm in.

Just checking in! This is a really weak excuse, but I spent the last few days apartment hunting (ps. there was success!) so I didn't draw anything on each of those days. I plan to make up for it by fixing up a multi-page warm up comic, which I shall post soon.

For now... purple scribbles.

Found this cool picture on a BPAL postcard and tried my hand on replicating it. Didn't turn out too bad.

Woh oh there goes Tokyo! Go, go Godzilla!

Nina: April 8

Weeeee. I forgot about this at multiple times today, so I ended up doing a quick drawing of Harry Potter! Yay!

Forest: April 8

My scanner wasn't working until I restarted my computer. Thus, why this is late.

Nate: April 7

A little something different today. After looking at a bunch of Sleep is Death, I felt like doing some pixel art of my friends and I. Handsome Troublemakers... assemble!

Drew this in the library today, which is why it's on binder paper. I call him a Glomph dinosaur.

Nina: April 7

I don't know what he's looking at, but it must be pretty awesome.
Maybe it's your mom. You know, or your face.

Nina: April 6

Would you believe me if I said I drew this yesterday?
... No?
That's okay, I wouldn't believe me either. I was doing homework all day and then I fell asleep and woke up at 4am to Relient K music playing on my iTunes xD
Even though I didn't draw this yesterday... :

I did draw this for part of my homework.. It was late and I was rushed/sleepy, lol:

"I'm a mother-####ing shark!!!"

Kara: April 6

Yeah, I'm already busting out the stick tigers. Whatcha gonna do about it?

Forest: April 6

Just a quick one of me in furry form.

Nate: April 5

Started this on the proper day. Finished it on the following day. This is supposed to be the album cover for future podcasts.

This is probably a bit much.

All he wants is a pizza slicer in a world full of paper clips.

All I want is more than three hours of sleep tonight, thanks.

Forest: April 5

Just a quick sketch of a pirate on his ship. Note-I can't draw hands worth a damn.

Nina: April 5

The rock candy that I opened 20 minutes ago... I decided to draw it before I consumed its massive amounts of sugar.
It's cotton candy.
^_^;;

Forest: April 4

Picture of a goblin. I can't decide if he's good or not. And man I messed up on his eyes.

Nina: April 4

I actually, kind of, fell asleep before I could do my DEDA yesterday >.< [/fail]
But here's a kitty that I drew today?! lol

Kara: April 4

[Lack of Understanding(Bicycles + Proportion)^2] x (5 Minute Sketch) = DEDA today. Ewwww math!

Breaking your own heart immediately before bed is a practice I would not recommend. This is Ben and his ex-best friend Nick, around the age of ten. They were excellent trouble makers in their youth. So good they ruined their own friendship. The extremely apropos "In Memoriam" by Everybody Else inspired this scene. Maybe when I am not T -34 for bedtime I will do a finished rendition of this.

Forest: April 3

I didn't have access to my scanner for April 2nd or 3rd, so I'm slapping up my pics that I did on those days. Now to do my Easter sketch!

Forest: April 2

Nate: April 4

Contrary to popular belief, I did not rush this piece. I simply drew it very quickly on a fast food napkin with the first marker I could find. It was in the interest of going to bed sooner. See? Not rushed at all.

Here we have: Clown Sun; Space Worm; Green Lantern; Happy Dog; Cyborg Zombie; Robot Ghost; and Dapper Bat.

Nina: April 3

Was this technically drawn on the 4th? Yes.
Did I copy the images directly from other sources? Yes.
And are these two characters still awesome despite the fact that I didn't copy them that wonderfully at all? Most definitely.

Hopefully I'll come up with something better tomorrow.

Kara: April 3

Super quick sketch for today's drawing. I wanted to get this up early because I'm headed out to a show 1.5 hours away and probably won't want to draw something when I get back later tonight. DEEP BREATH.

Meet another character from my script, Olive. She actually belongs to my wonderfully creative friend Liz, who has agreed to donate her likeness to my cause. She's an integral part of Ben's story for reasons I shall not further expand upon... NO SPOILERS

Despite the fact that cheating and scribbling was involved in this drawing, I found it much easier to draw with straight up ink instead of doing pencils and sketching and all that first. I usually find that to be true (especially with markers... oh markers.) I've learned to draw all wrong.

Nate: April 3

Hey, look! It's the Helski siblings! They play music!

I didn't have paper on hand, so I used a bit of cardboard. If I look at this later and like it, I'll probably stick it to the wall somewhere. I just wish Stephen's hands didn't look super wacky.

Nina: April 2

I'm jealous of you guys! I wish I could draw like you.. If I'm not looking off of something, most everything I do turns out terrible. >.<

Today, I drew my keys! Unfortunately my lighting isn't very good at the moment.

Nate! I don't think I've ever told you how much I admire your minimalist drawing style. Well, I say minimalist because I feel mine is quite cluttered in comparison. I like how your pen strokes are so confident and definite that one line is often all it takes to convey part of whatever it is you're drawing. I tried to do something similar tonight but um... it didn't work.

Raeanna and Ben from my graphic novel. (Surprise surprise.) They were chosen for their high school yearbook's Best Friends Senior superlative spread. I suspect that this may be one of the pictures they took.

Forest: April 1

Just a quick sketch of my Final Fantasy XI character, Beltaine.
